Placements24 is seeking a remote Menu Development Specialist to conceptualize and refine catering menus for clients across multiple platforms. This role emphasizes research into trends, dietary needs, and cost-effectiveness to deliver appealing and profitable offerings.

You will collaborate with culinary and sales teams, leveraging digital tools to present innovative menu solutions, shaping the company’s gastronomy strategy, and expanding market appeal from a remote setting.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Menu Development, culinary arts, or related field in the food service industry.
Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food science, and flavor profiles.
Excellent research, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
Proficiency in developing and presenting menu concepts, ideally using digital tools.
Knowledge of dietary restrictions, allergens, and nutritional considerations.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze current food trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to inform menu development.
Design and propose creative, appealing, and cost-effective menus for diverse catering events and client needs.
Collaborate with culinary teams to test, refine, and document new recipes and menu items.
Ensure all proposed menus comply with nutritional guidelines, dietary restrictions, and food safety standards.
Develop compelling menu descriptions and presentations for sales and marketing materials.
