Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Mechanical Systems Engineer to join its distributed engineering team. You will design, integrate, and optimize mechanical systems for diverse applications, collaborating virtually with a global engineering team and supporting operations near Upington.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in systems design, and strong CAD/analysis skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, systems design.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software and engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD).
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to work independently and manage remote projects with clear communication.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems and components using CAD software and simulation tools.
Conduct performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing mechanical systems.
Collaborate with remote team members, project managers, and stakeholders via virtual platforms.
Develop technical documentation, design specs, test procedures, and user manuals.
Ensure designs meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.
Stay current with technologies relevant to remote mechanical engineering work.
