Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Management Accountant to join the finance team in a fully remote capacity, servicing Vereeniging and other locations. You will lead budgeting, forecast financial performance, and deliver insightful analyses to support business decisions and profitability initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in management accounting, strong FP&A knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, CA(SA)) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
Strong understanding of FP&A principles.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.
Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and variances.
Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
Provide financial modeling and decision support for new projects and initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and advise on areas for improvement.
Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies.
