Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a seasoned Mainframe MQ System Programmer SME to lead IBM MQ for z/OS installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization. You will manage Queue Managers, QSGs, and Sysplex, ensuring high availability and security across large-scale environments.

You will develop automation with REXX, implement security controls, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable MQ services for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience implementing and supporting IBM MQ for z/OS in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of MQ installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Experience with Queue Sharing Groups (QSGs) and Sysplex environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade IBM MQ for z/OS using ShopzSeries and SMP/E.
• Administer MQ objects and Queue Managers; support QSGs and Sysplex.
• Design and troubleshoot MQ clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery.
