Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and experienced Logistics Specialist to join their remote team, supporting operations focused on Paarl, Western Cape. You will optimize shipping processes, track shipments, and coordinate with carriers to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations.

Key duties include coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, liaising with freight forwarders, preparing shipping documentation, and resolving disruptions to minimize delays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tracking platforms.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, documentation, and Incoterms.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote work setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, and transportation.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
• Track shipments in real-time, providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
• Identify and resolve logistical issues and disruptions to minimize delays and impact on service.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost savings.
