Placements24 seeks a strategic Logistics Planner to join a remote team focused on optimizing the supply chain network, including Kimberley operations. The role emphasizes transportation management, inventory optimization, and network design to ensure efficient, cost-effective movement of goods.

You will analyze logistics data, develop plans, and collaborate with procurement, sales, and carriers to implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner, Supply Chain Planner, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in using logistics planning software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive logistics plans for domestic and international shipments.
• Optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
• Manage and forecast inventory levels across various distribution points.
• Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, sales) and external partners (e.g., carriers) to ensure smooth operations.
