Operating entirely remotely from South Africa, this role requires strong leadership to guide a team of remote coordinators and optimize delivery schedules across regions.

You will monitor real-time progress, collaborate with drivers, warehouses, and clients, and continually improve routes and costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in logistics coordination or transportation management, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven experience working effectively in a fully remote capacity, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles, transportation modes, and logistics software.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide remote teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Proficiency in using logistics management software, GPS tracking systems, and communication platforms.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaunt effectively with various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in planning and execution.
• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of remote Logistics Coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of transportation routes and delivery schedules for a diverse fleet.
• Monitor shipment progress in real-time, proactively addressing any potential delays or disruptions.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for route optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Manage and resolve any logistical issues or customer complaints that arise during the transportation process.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipment status, delivery confirmations, and operational costs.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet specific client delivery requirements and expectations.
• Implement and continuously improve standard operating procedures for logistics coordination.
