Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Dispatcher to manage transportation logistics from a home office. You will coordinate drivers, schedule pickups and deliveries, and optimize routes to support a nationwide network with focus on the Eastern Cape region.

The ideal candidate has experience in dispatch or logistics, proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking, excellent communication and multitasking abilities, and the discipline to work independently in a remote setting

• Strong understanding of dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup are essential.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing transportation requests.
• Assign drivers and vehicles to specific routes and tasks, optimizing for efficiency and cost.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via radio, phone, or messaging applications.
• Track the progress of shipments and deliveries in real-time.
• Respond to operational challenges and dispatch adjustments promptly.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and generate reports as needed.
