Placements24 seeks an innovative Lead Telecom Solutions Architect. This remote role focuses on Centurion, Gauteng-based collaboration while shaping scalable, secure telecom architectures for enterprise and service provider markets.

You will define technological roadmaps, lead design reviews, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring solutions meet business objectives and regulatory standards across mobile, fixed-line and IP networks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years in telecommunications with 5+ years in solutions architecture or senior design.
• Expertise in 4G/5G, fixed-line, IP networking and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to design end-to-end telecom solutions for enterprise and service provider markets.
• Strong understanding of telecom business models and market trends.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership capabilities and influence across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Gauteng, ZA telecom landscape is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of telecom solutions across fixed, mobile and converged networks.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering and sales to define requirements.
• Develop high-level designs and detailed architectural blueprints.
• Evaluate new technologies, platforms and architectures to improve offerings.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams through the solution lifecycle.
• Conduct feasibility studies, PoCs and technology evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, security practices and regulatory requirements.
• Present designs and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior architects and engineers to foster innovation.
