Placements24 is seeking a Lead Software Architect for a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will define the technical vision for our flagship SaaS product and guide engineering groups to deliver scalable microservices across cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software development and at least 5 in architecture, with strong leadership, comms, and DevOps experience. This remote role offers influence over product strategy and technical direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in software development with at least 5 years in architecture or technical leadership.
• Extensive experience designing distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong cloud and containerization expertise; deep knowledge of Java, Python, Go, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the overall software architecture for products and platforms.
• Lead and mentor software engineering teams in architectural design and best practices.
• Design scalable, resilient microservices-based architectures and document them.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve development and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Ensure adherence to standards, coding guidelines, and security best practices.
