Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Lead Software Architect to steer the architecture of our core platform. You will define standards, guide teams, and ensure technical excellence across products while working fully remotely with engineers across time zones.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software development, 5+ years in architecture, and deep expertise in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent extensive experience in computer science or related fields.
10+ years in software development with at least 5 years in an architects role.
Proven experience designing distributed, scalable systems and applying microservices patterns.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the overall software architecture and technical vision for the company.
Lead the design of scalable, reliable, and secure software systems and applications.
Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and requirements.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers and architects.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance the technology stack.
Conduct architectural reviews and ensure alignment with business goals.
Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies.
Drive innovation in microservices, cloud-native development, and data architecture.
Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to stakeholders.
