Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Penetration Tester to drive application security testing across web, mobile, and APIs. You will lead a remote-first team, define testing methodologies, and mentor staff while shaping secure coding practices for cutting-edge software.

The role emphasizes proactivity, deep technical expertise, and the ability to communicate risks to stakeholders. Remote collaboration and leadership are core requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• OSCP, CEH, CISSP or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in penetration testing with focus on applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on penetration tests for web, mobile, and APIs.
• Lead and mentor a team of testers in a high-performance environment.
• Develop and refine testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Identify, document, and remediate security vulnerabilities with impact analyses.
• Conduct code reviews and security architecture assessments to identify flaws.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure remediation is effective.
• Stay updated on threats and exploitation techniques.
• Develop and deliver secure coding training for developers.
• Contribute to security policies and standards.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical teams and management.
