Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Penetration Tester for a remote-first cybersecurity engagement with a globally distributed team. You will plan, execute, and document penetration tests across web apps, APIs, networks, mobile apps, and cloud infrastructure, delivering actionable remediation guidance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional pentesting experience, proficiency with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Nessus, and strong report writing.

Qualifications

• . Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/cybersecurity.
• . 5+ years of professional penetration testing experience.
• . Proficiency with web/app/network penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• . Proficiency with tools: Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus.
• . Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and exploitation techniques.
• . Scripting in Python/PowerShell for automation.
• . OS (Windows/Linux), networking, and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• . Strong report writing and client-facing communication.
• . Certifications such as OSCP/OSCE/GPEN/CEH/CISSP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document penetration tests across web apps, APIs, networks, mobile, and cloud.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities with clear business impact.
• Provide detailed remediation guidance and actionable recommendations.
• Develop proof-of-concept exploits and custom testing tools.
• Conduct social engineering assessments and red team exercises.
• Stay updated on latest attack vectors and security trends.
• Collaborate with clients to understand security needs and advise.
• Contribute to testing methodologies and reporting standards.
• Mentor junior testers and maintain comprehensive testing docs.
