Qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or related field with a strong publication record.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral and/or industry experience in molecular biology research.
• Demonstrated experience in leading research projects and managing scientific teams.
• Expertise in a broad range of molecular biology techniques.
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in using collaborative online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of molecular biologists in a remote setting, providing scientific direction and technical expertise.
• Design, optimize, and execute complex molecular biology experiments, including PCR, qPCR, cloning, sequencing, and cell-based assays.
• Develop and validate novel molecular assays for target identification and validation.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, drawing meaningful conclusions and recommending next steps.
• Contribute to the development of research strategies and project planning.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners via digital communication tools.
• Prepare scientific reports, manuscripts, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety regulations and best practices, adapted for a remote research environment.
