Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead remote automation initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will design and integrate automated systems, robotics, and IoT solutions, leading a distributed team of engineers and technicians.

You will develop roadmaps for Industry 4.0 adoption, oversee vendor relations, perform cost-benefit analyses, and promote digital transformation while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with automation focus.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with automation, robotics and smart manufacturing.
• Proven leadership in managing complex automation projects from concept to completion.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial robots (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB), PLCs, SCADA, and IoT platforms.
• Proficiency in automation design software, simulation tools, and CAD packages.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing understanding and its application in automated environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Outstanding project management skills with remote teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems and processes.
• Develop roadmaps for factory automation, integrating robotics, AI, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Oversee selection, integration, and commissioning of automation equipment and software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects.
• Create detailed system designs, P&IDs, and control logic specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with clients, software developers, and hardware vendors for successful delivery.
• Develop strategies for predictive maintenance and remote monitoring of systems.
• Mentor engineers, technicians, and project managers on automation projects.
• Stay at the forefront of automation tech and digital transformation.
