Unknown Client is seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical analysis and stability assessments for global mining projects in a fully remote setting.

The role demands a Master’s or PhD in Geotechnical/Civil with a mining emphasis and 10+ years of experience, with expertise in rock/soil mechanics, slope stability, and Phase2/Slide/Rocscience software. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Competenze

• Master's or PhD in Geotechnical/Civil with geotech focus.
• 10+ years of geotechnical experience with mining applications.
• Expertise in rock and soil mechanics and slope stability analysis.
• Proficiency with Phase2, Slide, Rocscience or similar software.
• Experience with remote sensing and geotechnical instrumentation.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
• Strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Mentoring and leading technical teams; PE registration is desirable.

Mansioni

• Provide expert geotechnical advice for mine design and operations.
• Carry out stability assessments for open-pit slopes and underground excavations; develop mitigations.
• Oversee geotechnical investigations (drilling, geophysics, lab testing).
• Develop and manage geotechnical monitoring programs using advanced instrumentation and remote sensing.
• Produce comprehensive geotechnical reports, risk assessments, and design guidelines.
