Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to drive architecture and delivery for a remote-first team servicing clients across South Africa. You will lead the end-to-end development lifecycle, mentor a skilled team, and shape technical direction for scalable, secure web applications and financial platforms.

The role requires 10+ years in full-stack web development, strong expertise in modern frontend and backend stacks, and a proven track record of leading distributed

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full-stack experience with at least 2 years in a lead role
• Strong front-end framework experience (React/Angular/Vue) and modern backend tech
• Proven mentoring, architecture, and remote-team leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of web applications and financial platforms.
• Define and enforce coding standards and architectural patterns.
• Architect and deploy scalable backend services and data models.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
