Placements24 seeks a Lead Building Architect to helm innovative design projects on a fully remote basis. You will lead design teams, mentor junior architects, and shape the architectural vision from concept to completion while aligning with client goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in architectural design and project leadership.
• SACAP registration or equivalent is required.
• Experience leading design teams on complex projects.
• Proficiency in BIM platforms (Revit), AutoCAD and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization and development of architectural designs for a variety of building typologies.
• Manage and mentor design teams, fostering a collaborative remote work culture.
• Ensure design integrity, quality, and compliance with building codes and regulations, including SA standards.
• Oversee production of detailed architectural drawings, BIM models, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors in a virtual setting.
• Conduct virtual design reviews and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Drive innovation in design, materials, and construction technologies.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring successful delivery.
• Contribute to the development of firm-wide design standards and best practices.
