Job summary

The Arya Group in Centurion is seeking a Lead Aircraft Systems Engineer specializing in Avionics for a fully remote role. You will lead a squad of engineers, define roadmaps, and ensure seamless integration of avionics in next-generation aircraft.

Requires a Master's or PhD in Electrical/ Aerospace Engineering with 10+ years in avionics, and strong DO-178C/DO-254/ARINC knowledge. Remote-first culture with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in aircraft avionics systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience designing, integrating, and testing complex avionics systems for commercial or military aircraft.
• In-depth knowledge of DO-178C, DO-254, ARINC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in simulation tools and modeling languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of avionics systems including navigation, comms, flight control, and sensor systems.
• Define technical specifications, architectures, and performance requirements for avionics subsystems.
• Oversee and mentor a team of avionics engineers and manage project performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated system performance.
• Conduct system-level analysis, simulations, and testing to validate design integrity.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for on-time delivery.
• Stay current with avionics advancements and regulatory standards.
