Placements24 is seeking a Remote Aircraft Systems Integration Engineer to design, develop, and integrate advanced avionics and control systems for next-generation aircraft from a home office setup.

The role requires a strong aerospace background, at least 7 years in systems integration, and expertise in avionics, flight controls, and DO-178C/DO-254 standards. You will collaborate with global teams in a remote-first environment across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of aircraft systems engineering and integration experience.
• Experience with avionics and flight control systems.
• Familiarity with DO-178C/DO-254 standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test integrated aircraft systems, including avionics, flight controls, and communication systems.
• Define system requirements, architecture, and interface control documents (ICDs).
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to validate performance and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues in hardware and software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
• Develop and execute system integration test plans and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
• Document designs, analyses, and test results thoroughly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
• Communicate technical information and project status to remote stakeholders.
