Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to join our remote-first process development team. You will support senior engineers in experiments, data analysis, and the development of process diagrams while contributing to next-generation chemical solutions.

This role offers hands-on learning in a supportive, remote environment with exposure to cutting-edge technologies. You will apply foundational chemical engineering knowledge, collaborate across teams, and grow professionally

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
• Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and execution of experiments for process development and optimization.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, presenting findings clearly and concisely.
• Contribute to the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Support troubleshooting efforts for pilot-scale and commercial processes under remote supervision.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and technical documentation for all development activities.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies relevant to process improvement.
