Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect to own the architecture and guide a small team in a remote South Africa project. You will balance hands-on development with architectural leadership across a React/TypeScript frontend and Java/Spring Boot backend within a telecom integration platform.

You'll define MVP foundations, lead technical discovery, and ensure secure, scalable, and well-documented solutions while collaborating with UK-based and international

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of commercial Java development experience and 2+ years in a Tech Lead or Architect role.
• Hands-on Java/Spring Boot with production-grade backend services.
• Front-end guidance for React/TypeScript architecture.
• Experience designing microservices and integration-heavy systems with DDD and event-driven patterns.
• Familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs and telecom integration projects.
• Security: OAuth2, OIDC, Spring Security, RBAC.
• Cloud + DevOps with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture for portal and integration platform in BSS/OSS domain.
• Lead technical discovery, define MVP strategy and foundations.
• Design scalable systems with REST, microservices, and event-driven components.
• Write production Java/Spring Boot code with architecture focus.
• Mentor three full-stack developers and drive delivery.
• Set engineering standards and code quality gates.
• Guide frontend architecture in React/TypeScript; contribute as needed.
• Design enterprise integrations with external services and patterns.
