Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain the client's IT infrastructure from a remote location, with Benoni as a base or any approved remote site.

You will install servers (Windows Server/Linux), manage AD and GP, monitor performance, implement backups, and provide remote user support. Strong troubleshooting, security best practices, and solid documentation are essential in this proactive, autonomous role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as IT Systems Administrator with remote support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, and Group Policy.
• Experience with virtualization and network infrastructure.
• Ability to troubleshoot and document configurations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across IT systems.
• Monitor system performance and address issues to maximize uptime.
• Implement and manage backups and disaster recovery.
• Provide remote technical support to end-users resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
