Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote IT Project Manager to lead cybersecurity initiatives, overseeing threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security protocol implementations. This role requires strong self-discipline, proactive communication, and the ability to manage distributed teams and stakeholders from a home office.

You will ensure data protection, privacy compliance, and security standards alignment across our IT infrastructure on a fully remote basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 6+ years IT project management with focus on cybersecurity.
• Experience in network security, data protection, and compliance.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Ability to manage remote teams across distributed environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Jira and MS Project; familiarity with security tools.
• CISSP/CISM/PMP/Security+ desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles.
• Able to work independently in a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and threat landscapes.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and collaborate effectively across distributed environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
