Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote IT Project Manager to lead cybersecurity initiatives within a global fintech environment. The role focuses on threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and deploying robust security controls from a distributed, home-based setup.

You will manage cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance (POPIA, GDPR), and coordinate third-party vendors while delivering projects on time and within budget in a fully remote arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity or related field.
• At least 6 years in IT project management with a focus on cybersecurity.
• Experience managing projects on network security, data protection, and compliance.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and threat landscapes.
• Proven ability to lead remote teams across distributed environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Jira and MS Project; security tools familiarity.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP or Security+ highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles.

Responsibilities
