Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist based in South Africa to manage the full lifecycle of IT purchases, software subscriptions, cloud services, and vendor relationships in a global, remote-first environment.

You will work with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to optimize costs, negotiate contracts, monitor spend, and support asset lifecycle management, while applying FinOps principles to cloud cost reporting and optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.
• Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and managing OPEX and CAPEX expenditures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for IT products, software subscriptions, cloud services, and tech vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, SLAs, and terms to maximize value and minimize costs.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance and compliance.
• Oversee accounts payable processes related to IT procurement and payment workflows.
• Conduct financial analysis, budget planning, forecasting, and cost tracking.
• Support FinOps initiatives by monitoring cloud spending and optimizing resource use.
• Manage IT asset inventories and lifecycle records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with business needs.
