Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Project Manager to lead IT infrastructure rollouts across multiple sites. This role covers planning, vendor coordination, execution, testing, and post-implementation support, with a remote working setup.

The ideal candidate has a strong IT infrastructure background, 6+ years in IT project management, and certifications such as PMP/PRINCE2/ITIL. You will lead distributed teams, manage risks, and ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in IT project management with infra rollouts or system integration.
• Proven track record leading IT infrastructure projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers, cloud, and cybersecurity.
• PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) desirable.
• Experience with Jira, Asana, MS Project and collaboration tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple projects remotely.
• Familiarity with South African IT context.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT infrastructure projects on deadlines and budget.
• Acquire resources and coordinate internal/external team members.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables with senior management.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies with mitigation.
• Communicate project expectations to team and stakeholders.
• Liaise with stakeholders regarding status and updates.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and create reports.
• Ensure successful implementation and integration of new IT infrastructure components.
