About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Remote Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in IT infrastructure rollouts. This critical role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing complex IT projects that enhance our technological capabilities. As a fully remote position, you will leverage your expertise to manage projects, guide virtual teams, and ensure seamless deployment of new infrastructure across the organization. We are looking for a results-oriented leader who can effectively communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders, driving projects to successful completion in a distributed work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components and project management best practices in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and cloud migrations. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in alignment with business needs. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within financial parameters. Direct and mentor cross-functional IT project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive remote work environment. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies. Ensure adherence to IT best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements throughout project lifecycles. Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders and senior management. Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement processes for IT hardware and software. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies for remote infrastructure projects.

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a significant focus on infrastructure rollouts and upgrades. Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale IT projects from initiation to closure. In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, server administration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and IT security principles. Proven ability to lead and manage distributed teams effectively in a remote setting. Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable. Experience with cloud infrastructure projects is a plus. Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
