Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies across the organization. In this fully remote role, you will develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive compliance programs while staying abreast of evolving South African legislation and industry best practices.

You will conduct internal audits, lead risk assessments, and provide training to staff to mitigate risks and enforce ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in insurance compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs.
• Remote work experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SA insurance laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in laws affecting the insurance industry and assess impact.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify gaps.
• Provide compliance training to employees.
• Liaise with regulators and external auditors as required.
