Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies, operating fully remotely in South Africa. You will develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and provide guidance to staff on compliance matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in compliance within insurance, deep knowledge of SA legislation, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently from any location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles within the insurance sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African insurance legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance program and policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
• Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
