Placements24 seeks an Insurance Compliance Officer in Paarl to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, provide guidance to staff, and stay updated on evolving legislation.

The role supports operational excellence in the Cape Winelands. With 5+ years in compliance or legal roles, you will have strong knowledge of SA insurance laws (FAIS, FICA), and be adept at audits, training, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a compliance or legal role within financial services or insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of South African insurance laws and reporting requirements (FAIS, FICA).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to explain complex regulations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program in line with legislation and industry standards.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments across departments.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on impacts and actions needed.
• Develop and deliver compliance training for employees at all levels.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records of compliance activities and prepare regulatory reports.
