Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Information Security Consultant to safeguard digital assets and guide departments in security best practices. You will assess risks, develop strategies, and implement measures to counter sophisticated threats from a home office.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing policies, advising on security technologies, and supporting incident response and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in computer science, information security, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, consulting, or related field.
• Expertise in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and security architecture.
• Strong knowledge of network, cloud security, and data privacy domains.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
• Develop and refine information security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Advise on selection and implementation of security technologies and solutions.
• Assist in incident response planning and disaster recovery strategies.
• Provide guidance on compliance requirements (GDPR, POPIA, ISO 27001).
• Deliver security awareness training and promote a security-conscious culture.
