The role focuses on protecting digital infrastructure and customer data, with responsibility for security strategy, standards, and roadmaps.

The candidate will lead architecture reviews, implement best practices for data protection and network security, and ensure regulatory alignment across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; certifications (CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF) advantageous.
• 10+ years in information security with focus on architecture and design.
• Experience designing secure architectures for large-scale, cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of IAM, network security, data security, cryptography.

About the Role

Our client is a globally recognized leader in the e-commerce space and is looking for a highly experienced and forward-thinking Remote Information Security Architect. This critical role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the security architecture that protects our vast digital infrastructure and customer data. You will define security strategies, standards, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in a wide range of security domains, capable of architecting robust and scalable solutions. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, while contributing significantly to the security posture of a major international corporation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve the enterprise security architecture roadmap, policies, and standards.
• Design secure solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Define security requirements for new applications, systems, and infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate and select appropriate security technologies and tools to meet organizational needs.
• Lead security architecture reviews and provide expert guidance to engineering and development teams.
• Develop and implement security best practices for data protection, access control, and network security.
• Architect and oversee the implementation of security monitoring, logging, and incident detection systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure security considerations are integrated into business processes.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for critical systems and services.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements in cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF) are highly advantageous.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing secure architectures for large-scale, complex environments, including cloud-native applications.
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and data security.
• Expertise in designing and implementing security controls for major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical teams in a remote setting.
