Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor in Upington to lead a maintenance team, plan and execute preventive maintenance, and optimize uptime of plant equipment. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires a strong technical background and proven leadership in an industrial setting, with focus on cost control, data-driven improvements, and effective vendor management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Team Lead in an industrial setting.
• Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and possibly automation systems.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order and inventory management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and schematics.
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance in all maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial maintenance technicians, overseeing their daily tasks and performance.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all plant machinery and critical infrastructure.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across the facility.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards during all maintenance operations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and vendor relationships effectively.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, implement improvements, and reduce operational costs.
