Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Engineer to lead its Supply Chain Network Design initiatives from a remote location. You will analyze data, build models, and design optimal locations for warehouses and transportation routes to reduce costs and improve service levels.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a quantitative field and 6+ years of network design experience, with proficiency in tools like Llamasoft, AnyLogic, and CPLEX.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field relevant to supply chain.
• 6+ years in supply chain network design and optimization.
• Proficiency with network design software such as Llamasoft/Coupa, AnyLogic, CPLEX.
• Strong mathematical modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities with cross‑functional impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize the supply chain network, including facility locations and inventory placement.
• Develop mathematical models to analyze routes, modes, and costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site selection for new DCs and fulfillment centers.
• Collaborate with logistics, operations, and finance to align network design with goals.
• Analyze data to identify cost savings and service improvements.
• Create what-if scenarios and perform sensitivity analyses.
• Prepare reports/presentations for senior management on design recommendations.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to measure network performance.
• Stay informed on best practices, tech trends, and regulatory changes.
• Work with IT to ensure systems support the designed network.
