Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Industrial Engineer with expertise in Automation and Robotics to design, implement, and optimize automated systems from anywhere within South Africa.

You will collaborate virtually with engineering, production, and R&D teams to identify automation opportunities, develop intelligent solutions, and deliver meaningful efficiency gains while maintaining safety and product quality.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in industrial engineering with automation/robotics specialization.
• Proven experience programming and integrating FANUC, KUKA or ABB robots.
• Proficiency with automation control systems (PLCs) and HMI development.
• Experience with simulation software for robotic/automation systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent virtual communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently on remote automation projects.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards for automated systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Responsabilidades

• Identify opportunities for automation and robotic implementation within manufacturing processes.
• Design, develop, and specify automated systems, including robotic workcells, PLCs, and HMI interfaces.
• Program and configure industrial robots from major manufacturers.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases for automation projects.
• Utilize simulation software to model and analyze automated systems, optimizing cycle times and efficiency.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems, including user manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated equipment and robotic systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and industrial control systems.
• Contribute to the development of long-term automation strategies for the company.
