Job summary

Placements24 seeks a qualified Remote Financial Accountant to lead IFRS-compliant financial reporting and strengthen the accuracy and timeliness of financial data from a fully remote setup. You will oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries while managing payables/receivables and supporting audits.

With a CPA or equivalent, you should bring at least 6 years in financial accounting, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of SA tax regulations.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years in financial accounting roles.
• Expertise in IFRS and financial reporting software; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and optimize cash flow.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports for management.
• Support internal and external audit processes and regulatory compliance.
