Job summary

Placements24 partners with a global leader in offshore exploration and production to recruit a Remote HSE Officer. The role focuses on implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and investigating incidents to prevent recurrence, all from a remote setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in OH&S or Environmental Science with 5+ years in HSE, offshore experience, and certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH. Remote training delivery and strong virtual collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Health, Safety & Environment, with offshore Oil & Gas experience.
• Knowledge of HSE management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
• Experience delivering safety training remotely.
• Strong remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies for offshore operations.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards.
• Investigate HSE incidents, near misses, and non-conformances; recommend corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through virtual engagement with teams.
• Maintain HSE records and prepare safety performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with international and local HSE regulations for offshore activities.
• Develop and deliver HSE training remotely to onshore/offshore personnel.
• Advise management on HSE matters and continuous improvement.
• Support emergency response planning and preparedness.
