Placements24 is seeking a Remote HSE Compliance Officer to lead global HSE compliance from a home-based role based in Benoni, Gauteng. You will develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive HSE programs, conduct virtual audits, analyze safety data, and drive continuous improvement across a distributed team.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in HSE management, strong knowledge of OSHA/ISO standards, excellent communication, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in HSE management and compliance, including remote/virtual work.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations (OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and best practices.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient with remote engagement.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures aligned with global standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct virtual risk assessments and safety audits across sites and departments.
• Monitor and analyze HSE performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver online HSE training and awareness programs for employees.
• Ensure compliance with local and international HSE legislation and standards.
• Prepare regular HSE compliance reports for management and regulators.
• Advise operational teams on HSE matters and provide expert guidance.
• Stay updated on HSE regulations, trends, and tech advancements.
• Foster a strong safety culture through proactive communication.
