Job summary

Macmillan Davies is partnered with a values-driven organisation to recruit an HR Manager for a 12-month maternity cover contract. The role is based in Manchester with the option for remote work and involves leading the people strategy at a small but ambitious organisation.

You will report to the CEO, work with the Senior Management Team, and develop an HR Administrator while shaping talent, policy and change initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• Broad generalist HR experience across operational and strategic HR.
• Strong employment law and employee relations knowledge.
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders.
• Experience coaching and developing managers.
• Exposure to organisational change including TUPE experience

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the organisation's People Strategy with talent focus.
• Act as trusted HR partner to CEO and management team.
• Coach managers to build people management capability.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding during growth.
• Lead learning and development for managers.
• Ensure HR policies and documentation comply with legislation.
• Provide advice on employee relations, performance, absence, and wider matters.
• Support organisational change including TUPE and restructuring.
