Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Automotive Performance Engineer to analyze and optimize engine, chassis, and powertrain performance across platforms using simulations and real-world data. You will leverage advanced tools and modeling to drive peak performance from a fully remote location.

Requirements include a Master’s or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering with 5+ years in automotive performance, strong knowledge of ICEs and powertrains, and hands-on experience with ECU

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in automotive performance engineering.
Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, powertrain systems, and vehicle dynamics.
Proficiency with simulation software (GT-Power, AVL Cruise) and data acquisition systems.
Experience with calibration tools and techniques for ECUs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze vehicle performance data from simulations, dynamometer testing, and track events.
Develop and refine engine calibration strategies to optimize power, efficiency, and emissions.
Design and implement testing procedures for evaluating chassis dynamics, handling, and stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance enhancements into vehicle design.
Identify performance bottlenecks and develop innovative solutions to overcome them.
Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to engineering leadership and project teams.
