Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive Community Health Educator to join a public health initiative in the Eastern Cape. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and evaluating health education programs across communities in East London, with an emphasis on health equity and preventative care.

You will develop culturally appropriate materials, conduct outreach, and engage diverse groups to promote healthier lifestyles, leveraging digital platforms where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Nursing, Community Health, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in health education or community health promotion.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective health education content to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging health education programs and workshops.
• Create informative and accessible health materials (brochures, presentations, online content).
• Promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention strategies in target communities.
• Assess community health needs and tailor interventions accordingly.
• Collaborate with public health organizations and community leaders to expand reach.
