Job summary

Placements24 in Durban (remote) is seeking a dynamic Head of Supply Chain Operations to lead the entire supply chain, from procurement to final delivery, and to optimize sourcing, logistics, warehousing and distribution.

You will set strategy, drive continuous improvement, manage supplier relationships, lead a remote team, utilize SAP/Oracle and WMS/TMS systems, ensure compliance, and deliver cost efficiencies while enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SCM, Logistics, MBA or related field.
• 10+ years in supply chain management with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success deploying effective supply chain strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee procurement, inventory, warehousing and transportation.
• Optimize logistics and distribution networks for timely, cost-efficient delivery.
• Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts ethically.
• Use data analytics to monitor performance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of supply chain professionals.
