Placements24 is seeking a visionary Global Supply Chain Director to lead and transform international operations on a remote-first basis. Based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, the role offers strategic influence across a worldwide network and demands a strong track record in global trade dynamics.

You will develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies, manage complex logistics, and drive cost-efficiency while mentoring a dispersed team and partnering with global suppliers and 3PLs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, MBA, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in global supply chain management.
• Proven track record of developing and executing international supply chain strategies.
• Expertise in global logistics, trade compliance, and international transportation modes.
• Experience leading large, diverse teams, preferably in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management with international partners.
• Proficiency in advanced supply chain planning and execution software.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cohesive global supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee all international logistics, including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution across multiple regions.
• Lead and mentor a diverse, geographically dispersed team of supply chain professionals.
• Identify and implement opportunities for supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
• Manage relationships with global suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
• Utilize analytics and technology to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize performance.
• Drive innovation in processes and adopt new technologies and sustainable practices.
• Develop and manage the global supply chain budget and financial targets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all global supply chain matters.
