Job summary

Placements24 is looking for enthusiastic Graduate Software Testers to join a fully remote, globally distributed team. This role can be performed from anywhere, including Upington, Northern Cape, SA, with no onsite requirement, enabling maximum flexibility while contributing to cutting-edge SaaS platforms.

You will design and execute manual and automated test plans, track bugs in Jira/TestRail, and collaborate with developers and product managers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Solid understanding of software QA principles and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Self-motivated and able to manage time in a remote setup.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Identify, record, and track bugs in bug tracking systems.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements.
• Contribute to improving testing processes and methodologies.
• Execute functional, usability, performance, and security tests.
• Verify fixes are implemented and deployed correctly.
• Maintain test documentation including test plans and reports.
• Participate in agile sprint planning and reviews.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools and techniques.
