Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Remote Telecoms Network Architect to lead the design and evolution of a global network infrastructure. The role is remote-first, requiring strategic thinking to translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures that support growth worldwide.

You will define standards, evaluate new technologies, mentor engineers, and oversee multi-cloud deployments, SD-WAN, and advanced routing solutions across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of designing and architecting large-scale telecommunications networks.
• Deep expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security architectures.
• Proven track record of successful technology selection and implementation for enterprise networks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the high-level design and architecture for the company’s global telecommunications network, including core, edge, and access layers.
• Define network standards, roadmaps, and technology strategies for scalability, security, and performance.
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and methodologies to enhance capabilities and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure architectural alignment and delivery.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to network teams across regions.
• Lead complex network deployments, including multi-cloud environments, SD-WAN, and advanced routing solutions.
