Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Creative and Experienced Remote Culinary Experience Designer based in Cape Town to conceptualize and develop unique dining experiences for a global audience. You will work remotely with marketing, product, and operations teams to craft engaging food-related journeys that align with the brand and delight clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in culinary arts, menu development, event planning, or related field in hospitality/food industry.
• Demonstrated ability to design creative and engaging experiences with a portfolio of relevant projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills in a remote environment.
• Strong understanding of food trends, global cuisines, and dietary considerations.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and curate innovative culinary experiences, including themed menus, tasting events, and workshops for virtual and in-person formats.
• Collaborate with chefs and suppliers to source ingredients and develop recipes meeting quality and cost objectives.
• Create content such as recipes, guides, and experience narratives for digital platforms and client communications.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and inform experience design.
• Ensure experiences are executed to brand standards and operational requirements, even remotely.
• Develop and manage timelines and budgets for culinary projects.
