Placements24 is seeking an Online Foundation Phase Teacher to join a fully remote virtual school. You will deliver foundational literacy and numeracy content for Grades R-3, adapt curriculum for online delivery, and manage a dynamic virtual classroom.

Ideal candidates bring a B.Ed. or Diploma in ECD with at least 3 years of Foundation Phase experience in online or distance education, strong communication skills, and comfort with LMS and video conferencing tools.

Qualifications

• Requires a qualification in Foundation Phase Teaching or ECD.
• Minimum 3 years of Foundation Phase teaching experience, online/distance education preferred.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development theories and pedagogical approaches.
• Proficiency with online learning platforms, video conferencing, and educational apps for young children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate online lessons for Foundation Phase (R-3) in literacy, numeracy and life skills.
• Develop and adapt curriculum materials for online delivery.
• Utilize interactive online tools and multimedia resources to engage learners.
• Create a safe, supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback through online assessments and observations.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with fellow online educators and curriculum specialists.
