Job summary

JVR Software in South Africa is seeking a proactive network and security support professional to deliver remote and onsite assistance within Managed Services environments. You will administer Fortinet firewalls, troubleshoot LAN/WAN, and maintain security configurations.

The ideal candidate holds Fortinet NSE4 or equivalent, with at least 3 years of hands‑on experience in network and security support, and strong knowledge of IPsec VPNs, TCP/IP, NAT and routing.

• Fortinet NSE4 certification or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite technical support within Managed Services environments.
• Administer Fortinet firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs and security profiles.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, SD‑WAN, routing and switching environments.
• Investigate security alerts, vulnerabilities and suspicious activity.
• Perform firewall upgrades, configuration reviews and security hardening.
• Conduct root cause analysis and ensure incidents are resolved within SLA targets.
• Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Maintain technical documentation and customer service reports.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional technical guidance and support.
