About the Role

Our client, a national freight and logistics company, is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Remote Fleet Efficiency Analyst to join their operations team. This is a critical, fully remote position focused on optimizing the performance and cost-effectiveness of their extensive fleet. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of data related to vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance, and driver behavior. Your insights will be pivotal in identifying trends, pinpointing inefficiencies, and recommending strategic improvements to enhance fleet operations across the country. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to fleet telematics, fuel usage, maintenance records, driver performance, and route efficiency.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for fleet operations, such as cost per mile, fuel efficiency, vehicle uptime, and safety metrics.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, and operational costs.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of different vehicle types, maintenance strategies, and fuel management programs.
• Develop predictive models for maintenance needs and potential vehicle failures to minimize downtime.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management and operational teams on strategies to enhance fleet performance, reduce costs, and improve safety.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in fleet management and data analytics.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure data integrity and the effective implementation of analytical tools.
• Support the development and implementation of fleet policies and procedures based on analytical findings.
• Prepare clear and concise presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Logistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably with a focus on fleet operations, transportation, or logistics.
• Proven expertise in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of fleet management principles, vehicle maintenance, and transportation economics.
